Volunteering in Northampton Emergency Night Shelter

On Thursday 17 January I completed my first shift at the temporary Winter Shelter in Northampton.

Northampton Borough Council decide when SWEP (Severe Weather Emergency Protocol) should operate. This will be when overnight temperatures fall below freezing and the Met Office forecasts that temperatures will be below freezing for at least 3 nights.

Northamptonshire Police are warning people once again of scammers contacting victims claiming to be from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) that trick people into paying bogus debts and taxes using gift cards.

  • Fraudsters are contacting the elderly and vulnerable claiming to be from HM Revenue & Customs.

Brampton Lane Pitsford, Closed 4 days from 26 Feb

Anglian Water are requiring to install a new water connection outside Sedgebrook Cottages on Brampton Lane in Pitsford. To undertake this work safely will require that the road is closed for up to four days from the 26th February 2019.

Changes to bus services from 6 January, 2019

To Daventry DC and relevant town and parish councils
As stated on the attached summary, Stagecoach are making changes to their services in Daventry district from Sunday 6th January. These are part of a network review which will affect commercial services across the county.
